Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of people injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
