Just 60 days prior that Morgan Rogers found himself on the pitch at Sunderland, looking confused while Unai Emery admonished him for not reading a penetrating pass. During that period, as Villa went six without a win, doubts remained whether Rogers' form were a sign or the source of the team's broader struggles.

Is This Team Serious Challengers?

This is an exceptionally difficult query to resolve. Past precedent, a general sense of this institution, indicates otherwise. Moreover, they have not been completely commanding this season, despite the fact the positive results have accumulated.

Per Opta, in only two games have Villa registered an xG notably superior than the other team. For a club who have just won 10 in a row, Villa appear curiously susceptible – yet currently the tight outcomes are falling their way.
